Refund Policy
ActiveEase Return & Refund Policy (South Africa)
Effective Date: 27 May 2026
Welcome to ActiveEase. We value our customers and aim to ensure a fair, transparent, and legally compliant returns process in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and other applicable South African laws.
This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases of ActiveEase products, including the ActiveEase Magnetic Handsfree Gym Bag.
1. Your Rights Under South African Law
Nothing in this policy limits or removes any rights you may have under South African consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (“CPA”).
Under the CPA:
- Consumers may return defective or unsafe goods within 14 days of delivery.
- Consumers may have a cooling-off right for certain online or direct marketing purchases.
- Suppliers may refuse returns where products have been misused, altered, damaged, or used contrary to instructions.
2. Change-of-Mind Returns
At ActiveEase, we may accept change-of-mind returns subject to the conditions below.
To qualify for a change-of-mind return:
- You must request the return within 7 calendar days of delivery.
- The item must be:
- unused,
- unwashed,
- in its original packaging,
- with all tags, accessories, and inserts included,
- and in resellable condition.
For hygiene, safety, and quality-control reasons, ActiveEase reserves the right to refuse returns where products show signs of use, wear, damage, odor, misuse, or alteration.
Non-Refundable Costs
The following are non-refundable unless required by law:
- original delivery fees,
- express shipping fees,
- customs or import charges,
- return courier costs.
Return Shipping
For change-of-mind returns:
- the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and risk until the item is received and inspected by ActiveEase.
Restocking Fee
ActiveEase reserves the right to charge a reasonable handling or restocking fee where permitted by law if:
- packaging is damaged,
- components are missing,
- or the product requires repackaging or cleaning before resale.
3. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products
If your ActiveEase product:
- is defective,
- materially faulty,
- unsafe,
- damaged on arrival,
- or not what you ordered,
you must notify us within a reasonable time and provide:
- your order number,
- proof of purchase,
- photographs or videos showing the issue.
Under the CPA, customers may return defective goods within 14 days of delivery. In such cases, the customer may choose:
- a repair,
- replacement,
- or refund,
subject to inspection and verification of the defect.
ActiveEase reserves the right to inspect returned goods before approving a refund, repair, or replacement.
4. Products That Cannot Be Returned
The following items may not be returned unless defective or legally required:
- products damaged through misuse, negligence, abuse, or improper care,
- products altered or modified after delivery,
- clearance, final-sale, promotional, or discounted items marked “non-returnable,” where lawful,
- products returned without proof of purchase,
- products not in substantially original condition.
5. Magnetic Product Disclaimer
The ActiveEase Magnetic Handsfree Gym Bag contains strong magnetic components.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the product is suitable for their intended use. ActiveEase shall not be liable for:
- damage to electronic devices,
- magnetic interference,
- improper attachment to unsuitable surfaces,
- or damage caused by misuse, overloading, or failure to follow usage instructions.
Customers should keep magnetic components away from:
- pacemakers,
- medical implants,
- sensitive electronics,
- magnetic stripe cards,
- and storage media.
6. Return Procedure

- full name,
- order number,
- contact details,
- reason for return,
- and supporting photos where applicable.
Unauthorized returns may be refused.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Please allow:
- 5–10 business days for inspection and processing after the returned item is received.
ActiveEase reserves the right to:
- refuse fraudulent claims,
- refuse returns that do not comply with this policy,
- or deduct reasonable costs where permitted by law.
8. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to:
- product availability,
- stock availability,
- and inspection approval.
If the requested replacement is unavailable, ActiveEase may provide:
- store credit,
- an alternative replacement,
- or a refund where legally required.
9. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention
ActiveEase reserves the right to:
- dispute illegitimate chargebacks,
- request supporting documentation,
- suspend accounts engaging in abusive return behavior,
- and refuse service where fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct is suspected.
False defect claims, intentional misuse, or return fraud may result in refusal of future service and possible legal action.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, ActiveEase shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages,
- loss of profits,
- gym locker damage,
- loss of personal belongings,
- or damage arising from misuse or improper handling of the product.
Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
11. Consumer Protection Compliance
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including:
- the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008,
- the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act,
- and other applicable consumer laws.
If any provision of this policy is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.
